Crystal29 will include a rising star plenary session, which will feature short talks from several young scientists. The Rising Star talks will be selected on the basis of a short application, a 1 page CV, supervisor support letter, and a submitted abstract. To be considered for a Rising Star award, applications must be received by no later than 5 PM Friday, January 17, 2014.

The CV can be in any format, but applications with a CV longer than one page will not be considered.

Abstracts not selected for rising star will be considered for other Oral or poster sessions.

Up to four speakers will be selected. Those eligible for selection will either be current PhD students or young postdocs (PhD awarded Jan 2010 or later).
